I took this photograph at the far end of the Diag. This is part of the downtown campus of University of Michigan. The photo was taken around noon. I chose this location because it is very bold. Unlike its surroundings its also a little older.

Printed Pillars
I found this location in the Diag as I was looking for locations. The repetition of the polls was what drew me in. The lighting from the cloud covered sun made the lighting very nice. The feeling I was trying to evoke was one of strength. I was very happy with how the balance turned out.

Blue Lines
The lines of this building were immediately intriguing. The repetition was very satisfying, giving it the calming feeling I wanted. The lighting from behind gave the building nice contrast. My biggest triumph was finding the building and the right lighting. However, my angle could have been better.

The Blueprint
This location was something I never even thought of, a spot near the edge of the Diag. The modern feel of the pillars gave it a feeling rigidity. It also had very easy symmetry. This was my biggest triumph in the photo, symmetry. My biggest downfall was not getting a better angle on most of the shots.

Linear Mural
I found this mural as I was driving around Kerry Town looking for some architecture. I found the mural particularly interesting for its content. The depiction of the future is fascinating and quite awe inspiring. One of the downfalls of the shot is the angle. Another is the lighting, which was very dull and didn't help the color pop.
